Sacred tradition or report. Also called hadith rabbani or hadith ilahi (divine hadith). Refers to a saying (hadith) of the Prophet Muhammad in which the meaning is revealed by God and the phrasing is formulated by the Prophet. Unlike prophetic hadith (hadith nabawi), the chain of transmission is traced back directly to God instead of ending Hadith 1, 40 Hadith Qudsi On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When Allah decreed the Creation He pledged Himself by writing in His book which is laid down with Him: My mercy prevails over my wrath. Allah multiplies His reward for whom He wills, for Allah is vast and knowing. Surat Al-Baqarah 2:261. Like a single seed from which springs forth hundreds of grains, Allah will cause the good deeds of His righteous servants to grow and multiply in a similar manner. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 1. If the hadeeth was narrated by Imam al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh with its isnaad, then it is a saheeh hadeeth. 2. If the hadeeth was narrated by Imam Muslim in his Saheeh, then it is a saheeh hadeeth. 3. If the hadeeth was narrated by Imam Maalik in his Muwatta’ with its uninterrupted isnaad, then it is a saheeh hadeeth. Hadith Qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) as revealed to him by the Almighty Allah. Hadith Qudsi (or Sacred Hadith) are so named because, unlike the majority of Hadith which are Prophetic Hadith, their authority (Sanad) is traced back not to the Prophet but to the Almighty. Among the many Hadith Collection (All in one) is an Ultimate Collection of Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The app contains 41000+ hadith from 14 Most Accepted and Authentic Hadith books. The 14 books included are: 1) Sahih al Bukhari صحيح البخاري - Hadith collected by Imam Bukhari (d. 256 A.H., 870 C.E.) 2) Sahih Muslim صحيح مسلم The following are examples of some of the more striking Hadith Qudsi translated from al-Madani’s collection, chosen because this is the only printed collection of Hadith Qudsi, and its traditions are all carefully numbered. In one or two cases there are repetitions, but I have given some of these in order to show the variations in the text. YDhw.
